Bronze is a metal alloy composed primarily of copper and tin. It is characterized by its dull-gold color and the presence of stripes on its surface. Bronze is corrosion-resistant to seawater, which makes it suitable for marine applications. Perhaps the most notable characteristic of bronze is its anti-friction property. Its low metal-on-metal friction makes it an excellent material for bushings, gears and bearings.
